Dress Code:
It’s up to you, wear your finest, your comfiest or arrive in 1940s style, however you want to join us.

To help us plan a night to remember, it would be really helpful if you could let us know if you can or can’t come by emailing alisoncfoot@gmail.com (including any food preferences), we will make sure the bar is stocked, the music is jumping and there’s plenty for you to enjoy to help Ali celebrate.

Travel:
Higher Barn Farm is accessed via the main road, across a field with a well built road running through it. Please do not enter via the Equestrian Centre, you will not be able to reach the venue. We are hugely grateful to the Farwell family for allowing us to hold the party less than a mile from our house, it is a working farm so there are open fields, equipment and wildlife surrounding us.
There is no public transport that comes anywhere near us so you will need a car or a taxi service, we estimate that the party will end at approximately 23:30. There is plenty of parking at the venue.
Accommodation:
The weekend of the party is both Chalk Valley History Festival and the start of our summer season, so accommodation books up very quickly. We recommend the following areas/villages to look out for when searching: Stourpaine, Pimperne, Blandford Forum, Child Okeford, Durweston and further afield: Shillingstone, Sturminster Newton, Shaftesbury, The Tarrants, The Winterbornes, Bere Regis and Wimborne.
There are no major hotels in the area unless you are travelling in from Poole or Bournemouth - we do really live in the middle of the countryside.

The Party:
We have one of the best caterers in the area organising our food for us, please let us know in your RSVP if you have allergies or preferences, don’t forget your coupons to claim your hot rations. We will also have a paid bar with an excellent selection of drinks to help the party flow.
While we are in a barn, there will be toilet facilities and if the weather does decide to be difficult, you won’t get wet while you are dancing the night away.
Gifts:
Some of you will be travelling a long way and so that is gift enough for Ali, her actual birthday isn’t until later in the year so gifts are not necessary. Don’t like turning up empty handed? Bring your dancing shoes.
