Tips & Tricks: November

When I sat down to record this demo, I assumed that it would take me a while to get to grips with it but it didn’t take long at all, isn’t that how it goes sometimes? Admittedly I kept it super simple and didn’t add too many layers but I find that chalk pastel is always faster than watercolour so I guess I should have known better.

I encourage you to have a go at this one as it isn’t difficult and you don’t need a huge array of colours. I used Pastelmat for the demo as it’s one of my favourite pastel surface but any paper with a tooth will do. If you do have a go and share it on social media, I’d love to see how you got on so either tag @aliboardartist in your post or share it on my Learning to Paint Facebook group, hope you enjoy it, Ali
