Tips and Tricks: May

An encounter with wax and a goat!

Here’s a new Tips and Tricks video for you to brighten up your day.

This month I am using the theme ‘On the Farm’, not surprising if you know where I live and my niece has a small herd of goats that I have often used as inspiration for a quick study or two. In this video, I use a clear wax crayon for a resist, over a heavily textured watercolour paper to show the patterns that can be achieved for the horns it’s a technique that I revisited after not having used it for quite some time.

I do hope you enjoy the video and let me know how you have got on with collecting a similar subject, either by commenting below or by tagging @aliboardartist on social media.

Please note that there is no audio for this video, just lovely music for you to enjoy, do feel free to mute it if you would prefer to use your own background sounds when watching.

See you soon, Ali
